Fred was a respected real-estate attorney for over thirty years in the State of Delaware. Fred treated clients as friends and colleagues as family. Fred started this his private practice of law in 1979 and operated essentially as a sole practitioner until 2005 when his son, Brian, joined him at the law firm. Fred and Brian turned Fred’s solo practice into Frederick K. Funk, LLP in 2005. In 2013, after Fred passed away, Brian was required to convert the partnership into a corporation because you cannot have a one-person partnership.
